I didnt hate the movie but I didnt like the movie. It' similar to basketball diary's with leonardo dicraprio but b.d. was alot better than this. too many pauses(stare's and moments) in between the movie to try to pull you into how the characters are feeling in that moment. it worked on a few parts but the movie was like that the whole way, there was no payoff, if i can put it in those terms.

i know some people will think this is great but my husband and i couldn't bear to watch another minute of it. the writing was terrible, the delivery stilted and the entire movie just didn't enhance berry, del toro or anyone else in the movie. some movies dealing with depressing topics are so well done you learn from them. this one we learned to shut off. do not rent.

I began watching this movie expecting it to be horrible but I was pleasantly surprised by the middle that I was not that bad after all. The acting was very good but the plot did not make the most sense. The ending was rather unresolved and anti-climatic.
