I seem to have enjoyed this a litle more than most of my friends here. I laughed much, loved the new characters and thought it a solid story taking this family I've been watching since they were only a 5 minute feature and years before they had their own tv show (so all in all close to 25 yrs now) and the writers brought them cleverly right in into the times we are in now - dealt with timely issues and those that span all times as well. Lisa gets a love interest and the rocked-out version of Spider Pig on the closing credits was the icing on the cake (or donut) for me This was fun.

What a disappointment! As a long-time fan of The Simpson, I finally got around to seeing this...and wish I hadn't. I didn't even finish watching it. This movie contains none of the witty, intelligent humor which once made the Simpsons great. It is nothing but a plot-driven cartoon drama- and not an engaging nor interesting one at that. One gets the feeling the movie was uninspired and just an excuse to capitalize on the show's name. The secondary characters which many of us love so much, were barely even used- and when they were, it was just in cameos, as extras to the plot. What a waste of money and talent!

I've grown to like the Simpsons over the years and this was a good extra long episode.
