It's a good story that was done really well that I think everyone should watch at least once. Some might not find it as scary as others but that takes nothing away from the story itself. Effects were good, acting was good, how the movie it was shot and what not was good... Doubts? Check out Director Stan Winston's credentials... Seriously, IMDB him and check out some of the movies he's worked on. The Terminator Trilogy, Jurassic Park, Ghosts in the Darkness, Constantine just to name a few.

I always liked this movie and have been a fan of Lance Henriksen since this movie was new. Like some of the other reviewers, I think the story is worth the watch. There is a good message here about what the desire for revenge does to people and the consequences they face. Personally, I always thought the old witch woman was one of the creepiest aspects of this movie. May be cheesy at times, but one of my all time favorite horror flicks.
