This movie is what the first Kibakichi should have been. The characters at least aren't completely flat and drab, there's a good amount of decent fighting, and the special effects are better. The acting and cinematography are still a bit lacking, but less so than previously. The monster concepts are nice as well, and the execution is quite good. I don't think it's the best way to create this kind of genre, but until I can get ahold of Miike's soon-to-be-released "The Great Yokai War," this is pretty respectable.

If you don't mind sitting through gallons of red liquid whenever someone got cut, then, this is the movie for you. I thought the fighting was enjoyable and the story line was okay, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who is serious about watching a martial arts movie. It is just too campy to be taken seriously, even though the actors were trying to be taken seriously.

I thought I have seen bad movies before? but,I think after the 4th grade class got done writing the script. And the 5th grade class did the stunt features and fighting scenes. It just went downhill.I was looking forward to people saying it was descent?come on what are they watching/Bad fight scenes dumb story and acting.I thought at many scenes it was back to like power rangers guys with funny rediculouse masks on.I am glad I didnt have to pay for this.I had to fast forward to get to the end, should have shut it off then haha.At best it's a good laugh,The foreign writers have to make these for there eyes only stop trying to sell them here.Gary
