A real feel good movie - I really enjoyed this. Some of the dialogue was a bit hokey, but I thought the characterizations were great. Loved Willie and Missy - they did good.

I applaud Willie and Missy’s desire to share their lives with others. They loved God and the people around them. Viewers who haven’t seen the first two movies in the series would appreciate a summary of the storyline at the beginning of the DVD. Also, we spend a lot of time with people in Indian Country, and the native characters seemed one-dimensional and unrealistic. This third script isn’t as strong or engaging as the first two, but it’s still thrilling to watch something uplifting.

Michael Landon Jr. follows in his Dad's footsteps with the "Love Comes Softly" series. Feel good movies made for the whole family. These movies follow 3 generations of a family through life's trials and joys. The first one "Love Comes Softly" was very very good, the second "Love's Enduring Promise" was okay. It was a little slow at times and hard to get into for the first 5 minutes, but you really need to see this movie to understand a few things in the third and fourth movies. The third movie in the series, "Love's Long Journey" was my favorite. Yes, they change Missy's portrayer, but I think it's for the better. She has spunk and seems more true to the original Missy from the first one. This was so tender and so much fun to watch. The Fourth movie in the series, "Love's Abiding Joy" was very good too. You absolutely need Kleenex for this one! A whole box full! It's full of emotion and sadness but also joy at the reunion of Missy and her Pa.
