Punk Rock Holocaust (2004)
Member Rating:
A series of brutal murders leaves the future of the Vans Warped Tour in question in this punk rock-fueled horror comedy from director Doug Sakmann. As the bands on the tour fall prey to the murderous menace one by one, Vans Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman tries in vain to keep the tour rolling while simultaneously fending off the advances of a shady record executive (played by Troma's Lloyd Kaufman). With the body count steadily rising, reporter Heather Vantress does her best to unmask the killer as such featured musical acts as Andrew W.K., Kids of Widney High, Pennywise, and Tsunami Bomb entertain festival-goers while nervously peering over their shoulders in mortal fear for their lives. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

I rented this movie with hopes of a good ol' fashioned slasher movie, boy, was I let down. The only redeeming quality is that Lloyd Kaufman has a major role as an asshole, music promoter (who amazingly turns out to be Satan). There was no lack of blood, I do like gratuitous blood, so that made me laugh. I can't believe there's a sequel... I have to watch it, because, once again, Good Ol' Lloydie plays Satan... Man, how much are they paying you to be in such crappy movies. I know he's the crap keeper, but damn! It was only watchable because I am a big Lloyd Kaufman fan, and damnit, now I have to see the sequel which will probably suck more than the first one ever dreamt of. Sorry, guys, but your movie stinks! I can't get the smell off of me!

Rent this movie only if you love the bands that are in the movie. Don't rent this movie if your planning on watching a Horror film, if you do, you will be very disappointed. This more like a funny home video of the Warped tour......
