I feel it is a good idea to open your horizons and watch films from around the world. The more foreign films I watch, the more I find all of our stories are the same. This film is about revenge - by utilizing a gender's weakness in a culture where the other gender's power can be limited. It's shows how power can corrupt. Also, don't assume that your house's walls are not made from glass and that you are more vulnerable than you think. Persian culture is famous for beautiful poems, literature, and perhaps some of the finest stage plays and music. This film is full of twists and turns that you will never expect. Don't be put off by limited subtitled. Rewind it and watch again so you don't miss the subtle nuiances that make this story so rewarding.

I've seen better Persian movies. This one is boring and slow!!!!

It always helps to be familiar with Persian culture, to enjoy their movies. And don't expect big budget subtitles, they are often hard to read or not fully translated properly. But if you know some farsi, like me, or are Persian, you will get more out of this movie. The father spends a lot of time lecturing everyone on morality, but does not live by his own teachings. It was amusing, yet sad at the same time. I recommend it.
