"Costume play" or "cosplay," a dress-up game that's a not-uncommon pastime of rabid anime fans, finds its way into an actual Japanese animated adventure in this anime comedy. Chako is the leader of the East Oizuki Academy Cosplay Association, and she's all fired up when her club is invited to compete in the Cosplay World Series. There's just one problem -- the East Oizuki Academy Cosplay Association actually consists of just Chako and two of her friends, and they've bluffed their way into the World Series without having especially strong skills.
