I was raised in the Mormon church and went to BYU for 1 year during the 1970's. This is a must see movie for everyone, whether you're Mormon, a parent, or of some other religion that does not tolerate gays. It shows us that being gay is not a choice that someone makes, it is the way they are born, whether it be the way someone is wired or their chemical makeup. Would we do water torture on someone just because they were born with green eyes? Families are being torn apart because of the intolerance and the hatred generated from this intolerance. This is an excellent movie to promote tolerance and love for all. I highly recommend seeing it.

Not the best acting in the world, but the Mormon guy was a good trade off. Touching story and some funny moments made this movie worth it's price and at least a bowl or two of microwave popcorn.
