On the last leg of her journey through India, Xena (Lucy Lawless) elicits the aid of Krishna (Rajiv Varma) to rescue Gabrielle (Renee O'Connor) and Gabrielle's spiritual shaman, Eli (Timothy Omundson), from the King of the Demons. In the process, Xena learns of "The Way" -- that is, the manner in which the lives of humans are predestined to go along certain paths, even when those humans have no idea what those paths are.
