After having watched other school-shooting themed movies such has Gus Van Sant's "Elephant" and the movie "Home Room" staring Victor Garber and Erika Christensen, this movie fell short by such wonderful comparasions. The introduction and endings are insightful but the main feature itself was not. I thought that focusing on the time/using b+w flashbacks were creative, and showing the parental reactions following the news release of the shooting was also beneficiary, yet I think that it just didn't have enough of something... there's something missing.

This is an excellent movie that deserved more attention than it received. The performances were great, with special mention to a fine character driven performance by Elisabeth Rosen. The movie topic may turn off some viewers but the interaction between characters bring realism to the screen that is rarely seen.
