This Italian drama takes us into the secrets and lies of an upper-middle class, urban family. This family's tensions and problems are universal, so it doesn't matter that the film is set in Italy or that the parents have money. Two middle aged parents try to hold on to their marriage while their teenage son and daughter try to find their places in society. The former are dissatisfied, and the latter are confused. The writing is great with witty and clever dialogue, interesting story twists, and a menagerie of characters that seem real - all with their own sordid problems. Monica Belucci plays the father's sweetheart who together, disenchanted with their boring lives, decide to reunite as lovers. The daughter (played by a descendant of the last Russian czar) plays a sexy temptress determined to make it in Italy's television business; watching her is enough reason to rent this film. Things work themselves out, but not happily ever after. More like happily compromised.

My mom and I really loved this movie. The movie embraces the reality of life: Life is not perfect. The actors were great !!!!!

I really enjoyed this one. Sure the screen is not full of Monica Bellucci, but there are other beauties to distract your attention from the movie itself. I felt that this film portrayed the realties of certain parts of life well, and the acting really put a cherry on top of this one. Great movie that I haven't heard of until now.
