A well-acted, but hard to watch story of the hell a family is put through when their daughter is murdered in their home one night. The police are intent, from the start, on pinning the murder on one of the family members, and they focus on the son. This family was very naive about the police and their rights and, consequently, sought no legal counsel until the police psychologically break down the son into a false confession. Very troubling.

Just a quick response to Karol R., this family and this police force are not unique in any way. This happens every day and it is quite sickening. Good police work is almost an oxymoron in today's society. They frequently take the easy way out and build their cases backwards. Sad but true.

WHY THE LAW WAS SO CALLOUS WITH THIS FAMILY IS BEYOND BELIEF OF THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY? WE ARE A NATION OF CIVIL RIGHTS, YET THE CHILDREN ACCUSED OF THIS CRIME WERE TREATED LIKE THEY WERE MATURE, HARDENED CRIMINALS. THE LAW WAS SO BENT ON CONVICTING THESE CHILDREN THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT ANYBODY ELSE AS A POSSIBLE SUSPECT. MICHAEL CROWE'S FAMILY WEREN'T EVEN ALLOWED TO MOURN. THEY WERE TREATED WITH CONTEMPT.
