In Marked for Death, Steven Seagal is told to "try to find the gentle person inside yourself." But he doesn't spend too much time looking, preferring instead to crack the spines of his victims. Seagal plays John Hatcher, a burned-out narcotics agent who resigns from the Drug Enforcement Administration after his partner is killed. He returns to his hometown and finds the city in the thrall of a vicious Jamaican drug gang, led by the nasty Screwface (Basil Wallace). He meets an old friend, now a high school football coach, who tells John about losing his best player and his 13-year-old nephew to drug overdoses. Soon John's family is threatened and his prize Mustang stolen, so John joins forces with his buddy to take on Screwface and the drug gang themselves. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi

Steven Seagal is generally considered a joke; but this movie is actually better than most 'revenge' against the bad guys type of movies (yes, even better than Rambo). Look, either your protagonist does his or her job well, or they are not all that great after all ... For example, look at every Jet Li film: Jet Li's characters are at the pinnacle of martial arts capabilities, but he always runs into trouble ... this is frustrating to watch... how can anyone get anything edge wise in against someone who is the ultimate fighter? In this movie, Steven Seagal is superior in capability to all the bad guys, so you never see a lackey or a flunky get a devastating hit in against him. Hah! The climactic scenes are very satisfying.

I already purchased Marked for Death on line from you on my account, about a month ago. Did you not receive the purchase notice? You still make it seem like you are waiting for me to return it to you. Please correct my records. Also how come I only get sent two movies at a time unlike I used to receive 3 at a time Awaiting your answers and thank you for your time.
