    This movie epitomizes the commercial-laden decade known as the 1980's. From the blatant product placement throughout the movie to the huge McDonalds dance scene, and finally the promo featuring Ronald himself, it doesn't take a critical eye to see that this movie was funded by Coca Cola, Mc Donalds, and a major candy company. There are some very.... um... MEMORABLE non-commercial scenes as well. Various errors throughout the movie make it even more enjoyable. I cant say I was moved to tears, except from laughing so hard. This is a good one if you like cheezy.

    I saw this movie when it was new and then I liked it. Hey, I was a kid. It has way too much advertisement for McDonalds and Coca-Cola and Skittles. Of course, almost all movies have some product placement, but this one lasted through nearly the entire movie. The only thing I appreciate about this movie is that the actor who plays the disabled boy really does have spina bifida and is in a wheelchair. I think more movies need to cast people that are actually disabled for roles of disabled people and quit depicting disabled people as all depressed and suicidal. Disabled people (including myself) are just like anyone else. If it were not for the offensive advertisement in this movie, I would recommend it to everyone. But the advertisement makes it worthless.
