Genius: Galileo (2001)
Member Rating:
A brilliant scientist who revolutionized the way we look at the stars, this documentary from Kultur Video details the life and times of Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei. Gifted in the world of science, math, philosophy, and physics, Galileo had the foresight to design his own version of the telescope which took humans farther then most ever dared to dream. Much like Christopher Columbus before him, Galileo proved the map of the universe wrong and that Earth was not cosmically its center. This 50-minute celestial voyage turns the high-powered lens on the man himself, his research, and his theories, which alienated the fundamental religious order, but set the stage for exploration and discovery in the years to come. ~ C. Dwayne Smith, Rovi

Impossible to hear, a loud music on the background. I did not finish the documentary since I could not hear what they were saying.

This would have been a good documentary except for the loud annoying flute music that kept repeating over and over. It was unnecessary and distracted from the narration.
