The movie is certainly entertaining considering when it was made (1993). However, the title itself is misleading by the writers. Jason doesn't actually go to Hell until much much later and the movie never takes place there. The idea of his demonic spirit being able to possess the bodies of those whom he infects physically and psychologically is thrilling. The commentary portion on the DVD is enjoyable though with the director, writer and producers all discussing how the movie was made and what set it apart from the other Jason movies.
