In this drama based on the novel by Terry McMillan, Zora (Sanaa Lathan) is a woman who dreams of becoming a singing star, meanwhile supporting herself as a schoolteacher.     The movie was ok. It had a predictable story line with an expected ending, blue collar worker meets a woman with goals and aspirations, he makes endless excuses as to why he can't seem to get things together.
