Rod Steiger and his wife Claire bloom star in this 1969 version of Ray Bradbury's story. Steiger's method acting style is overwhelming at times against supporting actor Robert Drivas mild manner & the hoaky and annoying 1960s soundtrack doesn't help; but overall an interesting film and very representative of late 1960s Hollywood movie.

WOW! I recall this from my childhood and being sorta freaked out. Viewed today as an adult with a dscriminating eye for good movie making and acting, this turkey just doesnt hold up at all. Steiger overacts, nothing is cohesive. I'd like to see one of todays modern directors take a stab at this material. Transfer was good, but movie was terrible.
