In the interview section of the dvd. The director or producer said this is like the first German haunted house movie. It definitely felt like it since it kind of takes pieces from similar movies like The Shining and Poltergeist. This movie is not adding anything to the haunted house genre but instead takes from it. If you have seen The Shining ..you have seen 7 Days to Live. The only difference is ..The Shining is good.

The movie was predictable since it borrows so much from other movies. I generally like Amanda Plummer, although I found her irritating in this one. What was refreshing was that she was one heck of a heroine in the end and defended herself instead of the usual horror film female character who tries to scream the bad guy to death. I found myself cheering for her in the big finish when she was being pursued and gave back all she was getting! No helpless victim there!

A so so movie kind of like the movie 100 Feet. Decent acting and respectable actors.
