Synopsis of Tales of the Kama Sutra

Stories of love from the past and present merge in this sexually charged drama. A couple from the United States who restore rare and ancient art objects are having trouble with their marriage, which has hit a rough patch. The couple are brought to India to help preserve a piece of erotic statuary, which was inspired by a passage from the Kama Sutra, the ancient book of sexual wisdom. As they work on the statue, they learn more about the story behind it, a tale of a woman of pleasure who becomes involved with a powerful member of royalty, and the lessons of the story begin to make an impact on their relationship.
