The story was well handled. Very reverent. The animation is beautiful. You must see the special feature on how they created the film. It was even appropriate for young children. Our family really enjoyed this movie.

Yes, this is a children's picture, but adults can enjoy it, too. Ralph Fiennes was the right voice for Jesus, but they shouldn't have given little Tamar an adult's voice because it takes away from her innocence. I realize they had to rewrite Mary Magdalene as a demented woman instead of a prostitute, but why didn't they show her washing Jesus' feet with her tears and drying them with her hair? The Romans were dignified with their English accents (they conquered Britain, remember?) and the claymation was sophisticated, not the usual Davey and Goliath you'd expect from children's religious animation. This would make good viewing for Easter morning TV.
