this is a movie many of my friends and i love. many rank it right up there with "casablanca". the men have a harder time with it though. the only movie whose idea came from victoria foyt of this movie-making couple. if you turn on the commentary between the two spouses it will reveal how different her approach is than jaglom's. therefore it is distinclty different - and i would argue better - than his other movies, all of which have his unique, innovative approach. the story has plenty of twists and surprises and is somewhat ingenious. it is filmed beautifully as well. vanessa redgrave lends some spontaneous thought provoking sidebars as well.

A truly thoughtful movie that opens the floodgates of our imagination and our hearts. Be patient with it. It moves slowly for awhile but has many remarkable surprises at the end. You'll never forget it.

This movie doesn't have the best acting but there are many lines that really make you think and capture the true torture a soul can go through when fighting between destiny, freewill, and societal expectations. If love is one of your passions this is one of those movies that hits home, is quite revealing, and opens your eyes to the greys involved when you decide to sit down and play with love.
