This film has a strong (though not necessarily creative) storyline and brilliant acting. While certainly reminiscent of Tarantino, this film avoids the absurd and oddly motivated characters his films are loaded with, and generally replaces them with "real" people with real feelings and motivations. You actually care about the characters in this film. There is a constant sense of danger and a slow chaotic buid-up to ultimate doom, all backed with a sub-plot of one characters true identity tenuously being preserved. Suspenseful, edgy and genuine, Truth or Consequences NM is a well made film worthy of your evening.

Excellent movie, good to great acting by all, esp by V Gallo & K Sutherland in the lead roles. Probably Gallo's best acting that i have seen. Kiefer has proven he has a promising 2nd career as a director once he has abused his body so much that he can no longer be a top flight actor (sad that he is pretty close to that line already). Although there is a lot of violence, unbelievable shooting battles, & plenty of car chases, you can enjoy this movie even if you do not enjoy the excessively violent action genre.
