American Chopper: Season 03 (2005)
Theatrical Release Information | See Details About All Versions
When they aren't busy squabbling amongst themselves, the talented team at Orange County Choppers, headed by father and son Paul Teutul Sr. and Paul Teutul Jr. turn out more of their fabulous custom-built motorcycles and hybrids in season three of the lighthearted Discovery Channel reality series American Chopper. Most of the projects this season are so monumental that they require two episodes, rather than just one 60-minute installment. In the two-part opener, Paul Jr. constructs his "dream bike" following a "web" theme inspired by comic-book heroes Spider-Man and the Black Widow. Intermural dissension at Orange County Choppers over the creation of a Caterpillar Bulldozer constitutes the action in the next two episodes. This is followed by a commission job for the Gillette Razor Company -- and from the looks of things, the guys at Orange County can certainly use all those complimentary razor blades! In the season's remaining two-parters, we see the bottom-to-top assembly of a drag bike on behalf of NAPA Auto Parts; a Military bike designed for a charity auction, with the proceeds going to families of dead and wounded soldiers; a baseball-themed Yankee bike, constructed at the behest of the Jorge Posada Foundation; and a special vehicle for NASA, commemorating the launch of the space shuttle Discovery. Closing out season three is another two-episode fulfillment of a "dream bike," this time for OCC team member Rick Petko. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
